This set of astronomical binoculars and a tripod is a ready-made gift for yourself or a loved one. With 15x magnification and 70mm aperture, these binoculars offer an excellent starting point for exploring the night sky. Unlike telescopes, they deliver bright, detailed views without the need for complex assembly or adjustment. You can observe using them as handheld binoculars, but the included tripod lets you enjoy the night sky with greater comfort.
Levenhuk Bruno BASE 15x70 Binoculars
The multi-element optical system is based on BaK-4 glass Porro prisms and K9/F4 glass lenses. This combination ensures sharp and detailed images across the entire field of view. All of the optical elements are fully multi-coated. This significantly enhances performance in low-light conditions, including dusk, nighttime, and overcast weather.
The focus is adjusted via a central wheel. The close focus is 15cm. The diopter adjustment helps fine-tune sharpness to compensate for differences in vision between the eyes. With fold down eyecups and eye relief exceeding 15mm, these binoculars are well-suited for users who prefer observing without removing their glasses. The aluminum body has rubber armor and is resistant to splashes. These binoculars perform best in clear weather and should be protected from direct rain.
Beyond astronomy, they are excellent for wildlife observation and surveillance. A standard 1/4" tripod thread ensures compatibility with most photo and video tripods, so you can always choose an alternative if the included one doesn’t meet your needs.
Key features:
- Excellent entry-level optics for astronomy
- High light gathering power and fully multi-coated optics for bright and clear images in low light
- Splash protection and a robust aluminum body ensure reliable long-term use
- Long eye relief, fold-down eyecups, and diopter adjustment ensure comfortable use for people with specific vision requirements
- Compatible with any standard 1/4" tripod and designed for comfortable use with eyeglasses
- Designed for astronomy, nature watching, and surveillance
Levenhuk Bruno BASE TR10 Tripod
Holding large, heavy binoculars by hand is tiring and unstable. That’s why a tripod is essential for comfortable, shake-free viewing during long astronomy sessions. The Levenhuk Level BASE TR10 tripod is made of metal and provides stability and reliability while remaining lightweight at only 700 grams. Its folding design allows the Level BASE TR10 to be packed compactly for easier travel, yet it extends to a full height of 1130mm when set up. The tripod can support loads up to 3kg, making it suitable for mounted binoculars as well as additional accessories such as an adapter or a smartphone for capturing photos of the night sky through the eyepiece.
The tripod head offers movement in multiple directions, including horizontal panning, vertical tilt, and side-to-side rotation. All of the axes have position locks for secure adjustment. The tripod features a standard 1/4" mount and a control handle for comfortable operation.
