Featuring Porro prisms in a classic configuration, the Levenhuk New Atom 8x40 binoculars are perfect for daily observation needs. Its BK-7 glass optics feature fully coated lenses, providing 8x magnification with a 40mm objective lens aperture. This ensures high-quality viewing in both bright daylight and twilight, delivering sharp images with excellent contrast and true-to-life color reproduction. The body, constructed from aluminum alloy, is relatively lightweight and features IPX3-rated weather protection against precipitation. This model represents great value for the features and performance that it offers.
One of the model’s strengths, considering its magnification, is its wide field of view (140m at 1000m) and actual angle of view (8.2°). The minimum focusing distance is a standard 12m for optics of this class. The focus is adjusted via a large, centrally located focusing wheel with a comfortable rubberized surface and smooth operation. The interpupillary distance can be adjusted between 56mm and 72mm in order to fit most users. Diopter correction is available within a ±3D range. The binoculars feature a tripod adapter socket (adapter sold separately), which is highly useful for extended stationary observations.
Levenhuk New Atom 8x40 binoculars come with essential accessories for comfortable use: protective eyepiece and objective lens caps, a strap, a microfiber cleaning cloth for optics, and a storage pouch.
