Description

The Levenhuk New Vegas ED 8x42 binoculars make an excellent gift for both beginners and experienced users. Admire the beauty of the world in stunning detail and make every outdoor trip even more enjoyable. These binoculars are ready for use in bad weather, near water, and in high-humidity conditions. Their IP67-sealed, nitrogen-filled body reliably protects them from rain, snow, dust, sand, and dirt. Nitrogen is an inert gas that provides several important benefits in optics. Most importantly, it keeps the lenses from fogging during sudden temperature changes. It also prevents internal oxidation and corrosion while inhibiting the growth of fungi and bacteria.

The Levenhuk New Vegas ED 8x42 binoculars feature a powerful 8x magnification optical system that utilizes roof prisms for a compact design and bright image that is vivid and realistic in all operating conditions. This is achieved by the special eyepiece design that consists of five optical elements in three groups. The lenses and prisms have multi-layer anti-reflective coatings. This ensures effective and comfortable viewing for your eyes in low-light conditions, such as at dusk. The lenses are made from extra-low dispersion glass that is free from chromatic aberration and produces a bright, clear image. The prisms are made from BaK-4 optical glass, which is known for its high light transmission.

The binoculars’ housing is constructed from a magnesium-aluminum alloy. This material is lightweight and strong, capable of withstanding temperatures from –10°C to +53°C. The binoculars can be mounted on a tripod using an adapter (sold separately), which is useful for setting up a stationary observation post aimed at one direction.
