Description

Levenhuk 2ST Microscope is a modern tool with a long working distance of 60 mm (2.4 in) and maximum magnification of 40x. Such a working distance allows for observations of relatively large samples, such as minerals, jewelry, coins and other objects of interest - not just flat specimens and thin slices. This wide range of applications allows using the Levenhuk 2ST Microscope as an educational tool for many scientific and industrial technology subjects, and would make a great high school microscope.

Modern stereo microscopes are widely used for high-precision operations during observations of small objects. They render 3D images of observed objects and allow for precise measurements of their dimensions. Such microscopes are invaluable for scientific research and may be used for studying archaeological, biological and technological objects, jewelry, antiques, and so much more. Reliable and multi-functional, stereomicroscopes are ideal microscopes for schools and higher education institutions.

Optical elements of this microscope are made of highly transparent glass, which allows for rendering images of observed objects with unprecedented levels of quality. The image is brought into focus by turning the coarse focus wheel on the microscope body. Natural illumination is used for observations, so you will not have to spend any money on batteries.

For even more comfortable observations, you can rotate the stage plate so that it faces either the black or the white side upwards, and besides, hold a specimen in place with the useful stage clips.

The kit includes:

  • Levenhuk stereo microscope
  • Binocular head
  • WF10x eyepiece – 2 pieces
  • 4x objective lens
  • Double-sided black and white stage plate
  • Rubber eyecups
  • User manual and lifetime warranty

Levenhuk 2ST Microscope is compatible with Levenhuk digital cameras (purchased separately).

Duncan Hart (2017.01.30)
Good afternoon! Is it possible to observe leaf surfaces to identify diseases and pests?
Customer service:
If 40x magnification is enough for your tasks, then yes, Levenhuk 2ST microscope is suitable for the purpose.
Jim Martin (2016.12.18)
I may be confused. I thought that this microscope had attachment to allow viewing on PC. Is this correct? Is additional purchase required to have this feature?
Customer service:
Dear Jim, thank you for your inquiry. It is a stereo microscope, not digital. It cannot be used with a camera. Is there any additional information you might need?
Charles Conway (2016.11.18)
Greetings! Is this microscope suitable for viewing dust mites, infusorians, amoebae? I'm thinking of purchasing it for a 6 yo kid to observe all those tiny things that can be found around the house and yard... what would you recommend? My budget limit is about $100. Thanks for your time!
Customer service:
No, Levenhuk 2ST Microscope is only suitable for viewing quite large samples such as minerals, jewelry, coin, etc. Please consider the other more universal model - http://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/microscopes/levenhuk-rainbow-2l-microscope/ .
Mathew Reed (2016.10.09)
Hi! A few questions for you. What can I observe with this microscope? Can I equip this model with upper illumination, movable stage, replace objective lens? Can I change its interpupillary distance? Do you have suitable eyepieces with a reticle?
Customer service:
Levenhuk 2ST Microscope allows you to observe minerals, jewelry, coins, etc. No, you can't equip this model with upper illumination, movable stage, or replace objective lens. Yes, the interpupillary distance is adjustable. Take a look at this eyepiece: Levenhuk 10x/18 Eyepiece with Reticle (https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/microscope-accessories/microscope-eyepieces/levenhuk-10x-18-eyepiece-with-reticle/ ).
Jack Martin (2015.08.31)
Hello! Is it possible to get 20x and 40x magnification?
Customer service:

Levenhuk 2ST Microscope 35322
Bought this microscope for my husband… he's a coin collector so I figured this microscope will be a wonderful present. This model doesn't have built-in lamps so he uses a common table lamp instead. The images appear very bright and sharp.
Customer service:
Thank you for your feedback on Levenhuk 2ST Microscope!
Jason (2013.12.08)
Does this model allow only vertical orientation of eyepieces? Can I incline the head and direct eyepieces at some angle to the working surface?
Customer service:
Levenhuk 2ST Microscope has vertical head, inclining the head is not possible. Please consider Levenhuk 3ST Microscope http://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/microscopes/levenhuk-3st-microscope/ (the head is inclined at 45 degrees) and Levenhuk 5ST Microscope http://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/microscopes/levenhuk-5st-microscope/ (the head is inclined at 60 degrees)
