The Levenhuk MED D40T is a digital microscope with a trinocular head and a 16MP camera included in the kit. The infinity-corrected plan achromatic optical system produces a flat field, clears chromatic aberration, and enables observations with a high degree of detail. Köhler illumination can be used in the microscope and oil immersion is available. Levenhuk MED D40T is a perfect optical instrument for a professional who needs a microscope with extended functionality and high-quality optics.
Plan achromatic infinity-corrected optics
The microscopes in the Levenhuk MED 40 series are equipped with an infinity-corrected optical system that is used in professional and high-class microscopes. This system includes Infinity PlanAchromat objectives and allows for obtaining clear, high contrast images with a high level of flatness.
One of the most important features of an infinity-corrected optical system is that it allows for installing any additional parts in the optical path between objective lenses and an ocular tube. The additional parts include polarizers and epi-fluorescence light. All in all, modular design and simple operation make Levenhuk MED 40 optimal microscopes for use in different kinds of microscopy and working in hematological, histological, microbiological, and other laboratories.
A rotatable head with a beam splitter
The trinocular head is standard for microscopes with a digital camera in the kit. The binocular part is used for visual observations and the camera is installed in a separate eyepiece tube. You do not have to interrupt your study to take a photo or a video of specimens. The visual module is slightly inclined by 30°, which prevents tensing your neck muscles during long hours of observations. The head can be rotated by 360°, there is a beam splitter.
Capabilities of the optical system
The kit includes such optical accessories as wide-field eyepieces with diopter adjustment and plan achromatic objective lenses of various magnification. The total magnification of the microscope is from 40x to 1000x. Three high-magnification objectives have spring rims. A 100x objective lens is used for oil immersion. All of the optics are protected with anti-fungal coating.
A 16M digital camera for capturing photos and videos
A 16MP digital camera allows for taking high-resolution photos and videos. The resultant images can be used for professional work with microspecimens and for creating digital archives of studies. The camera is connected to a PC with a USB cable (the cable is included in the kit) and transmits the image to the screen online. A camera transmits an image to a computer screen online. That makes work in a laboratory easier and more practical as well as reduces the eyestrain and tension in the rotator cuff, as there is no necessity to look through the eyepieces. You can do the basic processing of recorded content using special software (CD is included in the kit). The software allows for adjusting size, image brightness and contrast, exposure time and white balance, calibrating a camera and objective lenses, measuring specimens or structures (several measurement units are available).
Convenient work with microscope slides
Specimens are placed under the objective with the help of a mechanical scale. The stage can move in two directions. Coarse and fine focusing is used for sharpness adjustment. Bright LED light is located at the bottom. The light system also includes an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm. Köhler illumination is available.
The light is powered by an AC power supply. The light brightness is adjustable.

Caution:
Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110V device into 220V outlet and vice versa without using a converter. Remember that mains voltage in the U.S. and Canada is 110V and 220–240V in most European countries.

Levenhuk MED D40T Digital Trinocular Microscopeis also compatible with other Levenhuk digital cameras (additional cameras are purchased separately). Levenhuk cameras are installed in the eyepiece tube instead of an eyepiece. This microscope is also compatible with any other digital microscope cameras.
