Description

MAGUS Metal D630 BD Metallurgical Digital Microscope for brightfield, darkfield, and polarization microscopy techniques. The powerful halogen illumination produces a quality image with any objective lens and any microscopy method. The microscope is designed for quality control and study of microstructure of metal and semiconductor materials, and opaque objects. It is used to conduct research at production facilities, in the laboratories of research centers, and at university departments.

Digital Camera

The MAGUS CLM30 digital camera is designed for use in fluorescence and darkfield microscopy techniques.
The camera is equipped with an 8.3MP sensor and produces realistic images at a resolution of 3840x2160px. The camera is recommended for use with 4x, 10x, 20x, and 40x objectives. When working with low magnification objectives, the camera will allow you to see finer details.
Video is recorded at 45fps or 70fps depending on its resolution: They are smooth with soft and subtle transitions between frames. The movement of the sample is displayed in real time with no delays. The camera makes it easy to work with objects that are moving and is suitable for classroom demonstrations.
The camera is equipped with a USB3.0 interface. The data transfer speed is 10 times faster than USB2.0 cameras. The high-speed camera is recommended for professional laboratories, research, or university training.

Optics

The trinocular head has a trinocular tube into which the digital camera (not included) is mounted. The light beam is directed either to the eyepieces or to the trinocular tube using an eyepiece/camera light path selection knob. The trinocular head is tilted 30° for easy observation. The diopter adjustment ring is located on the left tube.

After mounting the supplied objectives in the revolving nosepiece, one slot is left free for an additional objective. All base objectives are plan achromatic, with long working distance and they are suitable for brightfield and darkfield microscopy.

Illumination

For darkfield observations, the microscope is equipped with a halogen bulb of increased power (50W). In addition, the reflected light illumination system includes: a set of filters, aperture and field diaphragms, a darkfield device, a built-in analyzer, and a removable polarizer. The apertures and the light source can be centered. The Köhler illumination method can be set up.

Stage and focusing mechanism

The microscope has an interesting design regarding its stand and focusing mechanism – the sample can be of any size and height. Another feature is its small size – the microscope fits easily on surfaces with a maximum height of 40cm. The coarse and fine focusing knobs are coaxial and located on each side of the microscopy body. Coarse tension adjustment can also be adjusted.

Accessories

Additional accessories for the MAGUS Metal 630 BD microscope can be ordered separately. These include compatible eyepieces, long working distance objectives for brightfield and darkfield, calibration slides, and digital cameras.

Key features of the microscope:

  • Suitable for studying opaque specimens of any size and height
  • Trinocular head with trinocular tube for mounting a digital camera and a 100/0 and 0/100 beam splitter
  • Observations in reflected light using brightfield, darkfield, and polarization microscopy techniques
  • The power of the halogen light source has been increased to 50W (suitable for darkfield)
  • Field and aperture diaphragms for Köhler illumination as well as a set of colored light filters, centering of both diaphragms and a light source
  • Compact stand design for mounting the microscope in small spaces
  • A wide range of optional accessories

Key features of the camera:

  • For fluorescence and darkfield microscopy with 4x, 10x, 20x, and 40x objectives
  • 8.3MP resolution: When observing with low magnification objectives, the camera will allow you to see finer details
  • 45fps and 70fps at 3840x2160px and 1920x1080px resolutions for observing moving samples, recording video, and moving the preparation without jerks and delays
  • Peltier element reduces the sensor temperature during prolonged operation and eliminates thermal noise. Therefore, long shutter speeds can be used when taking photos
  • SONY Exmor color CMOS backlit sensor provides a low noise level and high light sensitivity even in low-light conditions. You will get clearer, brighter, and more color-saturated images
  • USB3.0 interface for fast, smooth data transfer
  • Software with photo, video recording, editing, external display functions, linear and angular measurements
