Description

Levenhuk Skyline 60x700 AZ is a quality and reliable telescope for beginners. With this model you can study the details of the lunar surface relief up to 5 miles in size, the phases of Venus, polar caps and maria on Mars during the opposition, atmospheric flows of Jupiter, rings of Saturn and lots of other fascinating views! The telescope’s relatively small dimensions and light weight make it easily transportable, meaning you can take it with you for observations in the countryside.

Levenhuk Skyline 60x700 AZ is a refractor or, in other words, a lens telescope. All optical surfaces are covered with a special coating, allowing increasing the light-gathering capacity of the lenses. Thus the telescope provides bright, sharp and contrast images.

A wide field of view 5x optical finder scope is supplied with the telescope to navigate to celestial objects. In the kit you will also find two eyepieces. It is recommended to start your observations with a 20 mm eyepiece, which provides relatively low magnification of 35x but allows for a wider field of view. The second eyepiece has a 4 mm focal length, which produces high resulting magnification of 175x and is recommended for detailed studies of desired objects.

The kit also contains a 3x Barlow lens that will help you significantly extend the range of the telescope’s magnifications.

The optical tube is installed on an altazimuth mount, which allows you to move the tube horizontally and vertically. The mount’s reliable mechanics allow the telescope to move smoothly with no backlash. The aluminum tripod supporting the mount features adjustable height and an accessory tray, allowing you to keep all required accessories within reach.

The kit includes:

  • Levenhuk Skyline 60x700 AZ Telescope
  • 20 mm eyepiece (35x)
  • 4 mm eyepiece (175x)
  • 3x Barlow lens
  • 5x24 finderscope
  • Diagonal prism
  • Cleaning wipe
  • Altazimuth mount
  • Aluminum tripod and accessory tray
  • User manual and lifetime warranty

Questions and Answers
Blake Bechtold (2017.12.14)
Is there a lens/filter to purchase for city viewing for this telescope? I cannot find one on the website. Thank you for your help.
Customer service:
Dear Blake, thank you for your inquiry. Currently we do not have filters for this telescope. But the telescope can be used without filters for terrestrial observations. Is there any additional information you might need?
Colt Wade (2017.02.10)
I can't see anything when using the Barlow Lens... what's the reason?
Customer service:
It's possible that the maximum useful magnification is exceeded. Talking about the supplemented eyepieces, Barlow lens can be used with a 20x one.
Luis Kaplan (2016.03.06)
Hello! Does the finderscope produce inverted or direct images?
Customer service:
The finderscope produces inverted images.
Lyle Mcdaniel (2016.01.03)
I can't see anything when using the Barlow lens. Why?
Customer service:
It's possible that the maximum useful magnification of the model was exceeded. If we talk about the eyepieces from the kit, you can use this Barlow lens with the 20mm eyepiece.
