It can be used for both astronomical and terrestrial observations, is easy to set up, and, makes tracking stars easy with its altazimuth mount.

Levenhuk Strike NG Telescopes are a brand new series for amateur astronomers. Levenhuk Strike NG Telescopes are a wise choice for those who don't want to spend time assembling and adjusting a telescope, or browsing through an expansive list of accessories. Apart from the telescope itself, you also get the optics for astronomical and terrestrial observations, and educational astronomy references for both amateurs and more advanced users. All this makes the Levenhuk Strike NG Telescope an ideal choice for any beginning astronomer interested in science.

The kit includes everything you will need to make your observations fascinating and captivating. The informative handbooks and advanced software allow even a beginner to find the desired object in the night sky. This amazing telescope comes in a colorful box, and would make a perfect gift for any aspiring astronomer, who would cherish it for many years to come.

The kit is far more advanced than you would expect

1. "See it all!" Astronomer's Handbook
This practical handbook will help any amateur plan and then enjoy stargazing. Written by a renowned expert, Alexander Shimbalev, it guides you through your first steps on the road to amazing discoveries. The book includes a number of star charts, listing the most interesting celestial objects. Commentaries help you orient yourself to the observation object and set up the telescope properly. Large-format prints showing the constellations and objects give you a preview of what the object should look like during your observations. This book takes you on a journey through the celestial sphere, where you will learn about 280 celestial objects and how to quickly locate them in the night sky, study the lunar surface, and observe the planets of the Solar System.

2. Stellarium is 3D planetarium software that allows you to see everything you can observe through a medium- or even high-powered telescope, including over 600,000 stars, planets of the Solar System, the Moon, nebulae and Milky Way galaxy. This software is capable of recreating a realistic sky in real time, providing you with panoramic views and allowing you to observe sunsets and sunrises, eclipses and comets without leaving your home. Now you can observe the sky even when it is raining cats and dogs outside.

3. Space Posters Set (Moon, Sun and Other Stars, Solar System)
Three posters showing the cosmos as we know it. Each poster presents interesting information on various celestial objects in an easy-to-read format. The posters are 84x60cm (33x24in), printed on glossy coated paper.

  • Moon Poster. You will find out about the history of lunar exploration, learn all the characteristics of the Earth's satellite, and find answers to many questions that interest mankind, including the nature of dark spots on the lunar surface.
  • Sun and Other Stars Poster. This poster shows you that even though the Sun provides heat and light for the planets in the Solar System, it is still far from being a cosmic giant, as there are stars hundreds and even thousands times larger than the Sun. The poster includes the main characteristics of the stars, such as their physical properties and their history.
  • Solar System Poster. You will learn a number of interesting facts on the planets of the Solar System, including their composition, physical characteristics and age. Some descriptions contain predictions on the future of discussed planets, which make this poster a ticket on a journey in space and time through the Solar System.

4. Planisphere
This is a rotating star chart that helps you quickly and easily determine what celestial objects may be observed at a given date and time. It allows you to locate specific constellations or other objects at certain latitudes for your planned observations. The planisphere is very easy to use: all you do is align the date on the star chart with a time on the viewer, and you will get an exact representation of the night sky. It is very reliable and will serve you for many years to come.

5. Compass
People often forget how useful a compass can be during observations. Quickly orienting yourself in an unfamiliar place and determining where north is can be very easy with this compact compass. Easily locating the North Pole, Polaris and the Big Dipper will allow you to quickly begin your observations.

The kit includes:

  • Levenhuk Strike NG Telescope on a Yoke mount with declination axis

Questions and Answers
Stella Hadid (2017.12.12)
Hi! Can I buy additional accessories to this model?
Customer service:
Levenhuk Strike 60 NG Telescope has a non-standard eyepiece barrel diameter, that’s why it is impossible to install any additional accessories on it.
Xena Lee (2017.08.10)
Good afternoon. The battery on my optical finder is almost done. I want to buy a new one, which one will fit? Left the old one in my countryside house and can`t check up the marking now.
Customer service:
Battery with CR2032 marking will fit Levenhuk Strike 90 PLUS telescopes finder.
Angela Gray (2017.05.30)
Hello. Could you tell me please, will I be able to see more details in the Levenhuk Strike 60 NG than in the Levenhuk Strike 50 NG?
Customer service:
The difference in magnification is 20 times. For Moon observations the most suitable telescopes are those with 50 mm and more in lens diameter. You will see planets as small shining dots.
Lori Mcgee (2016.12.21)
how much of a difference between 60NG and 80NG models? If I understand it correctly, both telescopes allow for observations of Saturn.
Customer service:
Levenhuk Strike 60 NG Telescope is better suited for lunar observations. It doesn't have enough aperture for observations of Saturn. Levenhuk Strike 60 NG model also has a non-standard barrel diameter, therefore you can only use eyepieces that are included in the package with it. Levenhuk Strike 80 NG is preferable in all senses: 1. it provides higher magnification power; 2. it has a standard 1.25" barrel diameter.
Toni (2016.11.28)
Is the kit included in the box--- handbook, CD, compass, etc., or are all these separate add-ons?
Customer service:
Dear Toni, thank you for interest in Levenhuk product. Yes, the telescope comes with an advanced kit of accessories.
Felix Hines (2016.09.19)
Does the kit include a Barlow lens?
Customer service:
Yes, the Levenhuk Strike 60 NG kit includes a 3x Barlow lens.

Can I use an erecting eyepiece with this telescope?
Customer service:
Unfortunately, no. Levenhuk Strike 60 NG has a non-standard barrel diameter.
Felipe Mendez (2016.08.03)
Hello! We recently bought this telescope and decided to buy additional filters to it... bought 0.965" lunar and solar filters, but later found out that standard eyepieces from the kit weren't even threaded for filters in the first place. Why? What can we do with that? And one more thing... can I use this telescope with A10 smartphone adapter?
Customer service:
Levenhuk Strike 60 NG Telescope has a non-standard barrel diameter and, unfortunately, there's no possibility to change it to the standard value of 1.25''. As for Levenhuk A10 Smartphone Adapter, it is suitable for this telescope.
Arnela Kadic (2016.04.27)

Kevin Bliss (2013.09.01)
If I buy this telescope as a gift for a person that has no any experience and knows nothing about telescopes, will he be able to sort things out?
Customer service:
Yes, of course. The Levenhuk Strike 60 NG model was designed especially for unexperienced stargazers; even a beginner can assemble and tune the instrument with ease.
Sheri Birch (2013.08.01)
Hello! We want to purchase a telescope for a child 5-6 years old for observing with an adult. Does it make sense to pay more and take 60 NG (is there any significant difference in image quality and the things you can observe with it?) or we just buy 50 ng? Thank you in advance for your response.
Customer service:
The objective of the Levenhuk Strike 60 NG gathers 25% more light than the 50 mm objective; that means that with Levenhuk Strike 60 NG you will see fainter objects, and with 50 NG the picture will be bright and sharp.
Paula Coggins (2013.07.01)
Is it suitable for children (11 years old) and what advantages and weaknesses does it have?
Customer service:
Yes, it will fit the needs of an 11-year old. Advantages: a great kit with useful accessories, good price-quality ratio. Disadvantages: the lack of an erecting prism to produce a "direct" image.
Robert Manning (2013.05.24)
Hello! We received our order, we are highly satisfied with it. We have a little question about Barlow lens using. The instruction says that the Barlow lens should be inserted in the focuser. Is it possible to use it together with the diagonal prism? On the left picture you can see that the Barlow lens is inserted in the focuser through the prism. I've tried to do so, but it took me too much effort to insert it in the bore. I'm afraid I can break the diagonal prism's body. Barlow lens should get into diagonal prism as easily as in the focuser?
Customer service:
We recommend inserting a Barlow lens in the focuser.
Robert Manning (2013.05.18)
Thank you for your response!
If I get it right, then 120x magnification can be achieved by using F6 mm eyepiece. With Barlow 3x will it be 3 time higher? It's interesting, can I use F4mm eyepiece with it? And do you have them in your store? I really liked this model but unfortunately it doesn't have a solar filter in the kit. Can I find it somewhere else or replace it with something? I just wanna see the Sun and I wish I could do that more than 2 times. What can you suggest? And what about the image orientation? Is it going to be left-to-right or just normal terrestial image?
Customer service:
Yes, everything's right, using a 6 mm eyepiece magnification will be approximately 120x. With 2x Barlow lens and 6mm eyepiece it will be somewhere near 350x. In the kit you will find all necessary accessories. The eyepieces are all purpose. You don't need to buy anything else. The solar filter of this size currently is not available. The image is inversed from left to right.
Chris Beam (2013.04.19)
What's the best model for a beginner? Levenhuk Strike 60 or something else?
Customer service:
The Levenhuk Strike 60 NG is a great option for beginners. It has the highest price-quality ratio, and the kit is beyond any comparison.
Amanda Rogers (2013.04.02)
I've got Levenhuk Strike 60 NG as a gift and I have a few questions: what eyepiece or lens should I use for observing the Moon's surface. What is the yellow filter for and where it have to be inserted. Can I avoid getting left-to-right images during terrestrial observation, should I purchase smth additionally for that?
Customer service:
To observe the Moon's surface you can use all additional accessories, starting with an eyepiece with a long focal length of 20 mm. This filter should be screwed into the eyepiece and it is used for contrast enhancement. To get a 'terrestrial' image you will need an erecting prism. Unfortunately, this prism with barrel diameter of 0,965" is not available in our store.
Rick Newman (2013.03.31)
Such a wonderful telescope! Totally recommend! Yesterday I saw Betelgeuse! How cool is that??!! :)
Customer service:
Thank you for your feedback!
Carl Niday (2013.03.16)
Hi! I want to get a telescope for myself (frankly speaking, I have zero experience!) to observe planets and stars. Tell me, please, what can I see out of it? and can I purchase some additional accessories (for example, an eyepiece) to expand its capabilities?!
Customer service:
The Levenhuk Strike 60 NG model is great for beginner stargazers. Under favorable conditions, you will be able to see the lunar craters, sunspots, atmospheric flows of Jupiter and its four largest moons, phases of Venus, rings of Saturn, and binary stars with a separation of 2.5 arcseconds between their components, dim 10 magnitude stars, and even the bright nebulae and other galaxies.
Michele (2013.03.09)
Can I use this telescope for astrophotography?
Customer service:
The Levenhuk Strike 60 NG model is designed for visual observations.
Kevin (2013.02.13)
I want to buy Levenhuk telescope 50 ng model. Is it fine for an adult, I wouldn't want to spend more money on it…
Customer service:
Yes, the Levenhuk Strike 60 NG telescope is a good model for beginners.
