Description

The MAGUS CLM microscope cameras are designed for use in the fluorescence and darkfield microscopy techniques. The CLM90 model is monochrome and its maximum image resolution is 3200x2200px. The frame rate for video recording depends on the resolution and can be 51.3 or 133.8fps. The camera works effectively with 4x, 10x, 20x, and 40x objectives as it captures small details better in combination with low magnification objectives. It is equipped with a Peltier element that cools the matrix and maintains high image quality. The global shutter creates an image without deformation, even if the object moves. The capture result is displayed on the monitor via the USB3.0 interface without any loss of quality. The camera was created for professional work or university training.

Inside the camera is a 1.1" diagonal SONY Exmor CMOS sensor with a pixel size of 4.5x4.5μm. The back-illumination technology SONY used in its matrices increases light sensitivity: In this model, it is 3354mV at a shutter speed of 1/30 second. The monochrome matrix will not enable you to distinguish the colors of the object, but it will make the image bright and high contrast, which can be important when capturing in low light conditions. To create the widest possible field of view, use the 1x adapter.

The Peltier element is a special thermoelectric module that maintains a temperature 42°C below room temperature. It is necessary to cool the matrix in the camera. It heats up during long-term operation, which results in thermal noise and deterioration in the image quality. The Peltier element maintains the temperature of the sensor at an acceptable level, and the image quality remains high.

Another feature of this model is the global shutter. With its help, the signal from all the diodes is read simultaneously. The resulting image is authentic and without distortion even if the object moves.

The camera uses software that enables you to take photographs and record videos, process them, and measure the linear and angular dimensions of objects and their structures. Before measuring, calibrate the software for each objective using a calibration slide. You can connect the device to a computer via the USB3.0 interface. It transfers data at high speed and maintains the quality of images when displayed on an external screen.

The camera is connected to the microscope through the trinocular tube. Use a C-mount adapter for installation.

Questions and Answers
Sarath chandran Sarath (2024.07.01)
Could you please suggest digital camera with Peltier cooling,Minimum 4 megapixle, use with Nikon polorizing microscope model CI-POL
Customer service:
Hi Sarath chandran Sarath,

thanks for your query.

Our camera will work if your microscope comes with a c-mount adapter.
There are no adapters for Nikon in our store assortment. Each microscope manufacturer makes unique adapters for their models.

MAGUS CLM90 Digital Camera (83209) is a monochrome camera. And you have a polarizing microscope, so it needs a camera that creates a color image.

We have only one camera with a color image, a Peltier element and a resolution of more than 4 MP - MAGUS CLM30 Digital Camera (83206) -
https://eu.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/microscope-accessories/microscope-digital-cameras/magus-clm30-digital-camera/?oid=53719

It will be back in stock on 07/30/2024.

Hope this helps!
