Objective with 20x magnification for a metallurgical microscope. It is optimal for working with eyepieces with magnifications from 10x to 20x. The useful magnification of a microscope with this objective is in the range of 200–400x; its maximum resolution is 0.69µm.
The plan achromatic optics correct field curvature by 90% and produce a clear, undistorted image over almost the entire field of view. It is recommended to combine the objective with eyepieces with a wide field of view – 22mm. Combination with a 10x/22mm eyepiece will produce a field of view of 1.1mm in diameter. Chromatic aberration has been corrected for red and blue, and spherical aberration has been corrected for green.
A metallurgical objective requires operation without a cover glass. The object of study may have a texture with large differences in height, and with a standard objective position, you risk damaging it or the sample. Therefore, the MAGUS 20PLL metallurgical microscope objective has a working distance larger than the standard, at 8.8mm.
The objective is compatible with infinity-corrected microscopes. Its parfocality is 45mm.
Compatibility:
- MAGUS Metal 600 Metallurgical Microscope
- MAGUS Metal 630 Metallurgical Microscope
- MAGUS Metal 650 Metallurgical Microscope
