Description

Plan achromatic objective for working in polarized transmitted light. Polarizing objective lenses are designed to be strain-free so as not to produce birefringence within the optical system.

Objectives with plan achromatic optics form an image equally focused in the center and around the periphery. This is achieved by correcting geometric aberration over 90% of the visible field area. Therefore, they pair well with a digital camera or eyepieces with a wide field of view. Combination with a 10x/22mm eyepiece forms a 0.22mm field of view. In addition, plan achromatic objectives correct chromatic aberration in two colors (red and blue) and spherical aberration in one color (green).

The MAGUS SF100 DRY model has a magnification of 100x and a resolution limit of 0.35µm. It guarantees a useful microscope magnification in the range of 400–800x; this will require eyepieces with a magnification of 5x to 10x. A lower magnification will not enable you to effectively study the sample; a higher magnification will not provide new data. A 0.17mm cover glass is used for the sample.
