Description

Objective for studying transparent and translucent samples in polarized light. Lenses for polarized optics are made to avoid internal strain: They do not create birefringence and do not affect the observation results.

The objective is designed for an infinity-corrected optical system. The parfocal height is DIN standard (45mm). A 0.17mm cover glass is used for the sample.

Plan achromatic optics correct aberrations: chromatic in red and blue colors, spherical in green. Geometric aberration is corrected for over 90% of the observed area. The image is in focus both at the center and at the edges, making the objective suitable for use with a digital camera or wide-field eyepiece. Therefore, in a system with a 10x/22mm eyepiece, the objective will form a field of view of 0.22mm in diameter. The resolution limit is 0.22µm.

With the SF100 OIL model objective, the useful magnification of the microscope is in the range of 625x to 1250x and is achieved by using eyepieces with a magnification of 5x to 15x. With a lower magnification of the system, it will not be possible to see the fine elements of an object; a magnification greater than 1250x will not provide new information.
