Description

The Levenhuk 2.5x Barlow lens is the accessory that increases the effective focal length of a telescope by 2.5 times. It is placed into the focuser, immediately before an eyepiece. Due to the 1.25" barrel diameter, there are no compatibility problems. The Barlow lens will allow you to quickly and cost-effectively expand the range of available magnifications and diversify astronomical observations.

The optics are made of fully multi-coated glass. Being an apochromat, the Barlow lens practically does not generate aberrations into the picture, so that optical distortion is minimized. It features a filter and compression ring thread.

Features:

  • Fully multi-coated glass lenses
  • Optical design: multi-element apochromat
  • Minimum chromatism and other aberrations; 2.5x magnification
  • 1.25" barrel diameter
  • Filter and compression ring thread

The kit includes:

  • Barlow lens
  • Protective caps – 2 pcs

Good day, I have Sky-Watcher BK P13065EQ2, the kit includes 10mm and 25mm eyepieces. What will serve better for increasing the scope's magnification, Barlow lens or an eyepiece with shorter focal length?
Customer service:
Short focal length eyepiece will give you better image quality.

I have Celestron AstroMaster 90 EQ, should I buy this lens?
Customer service:
Yes, Levenhuk 2.5x Barlow Lens fits your telescope perfectly.
James Hill (2014.03.25)
Hello! Which eyepiece is needed to get the highest practical power of Skywatcher Dob 10? I have 6 mm eyepiece and Barlow Lens (from Levenhuk Strike 90 kit) but they don't work together with dob. The image is out of focus. Thank you!
Customer service:
The image is not focused because maximum useful magnification (that is 500x in this situation) is exceeded by using this combination of 6 mm eyepiece and 3x Barlow lens. We recommend you consider Levenhuk Ra Plossl 4 mm 1.25" Eyepiece - http://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/telescope-accessories/telescope-eyepieces/levenhuk-ra-plossl-4-mm-1-25-eyepiece/ . Use it without the Barlow lens.

Please help me. I own Celestron astromaster 130 + 5mm eyepiece. Normally 2x lens is enough to get the highest practical power. But I wanna install 2.5x, will the image get much worse? How much worse? Please give me detailed answer
Customer service:
The maximum useful magnification is D*2 (D-is the objective lens diameter). When the magnification equals the value of the objective diameter (in your case it's 130x) diffraction pattern begins to appear and further magnifying will deteriorate the quality even more. Beside this, don't forget about the telescope trembling, atmospheric disorder, etc. To sum it up you need 1.5x or 2x Barlow lens but not higher. Consider the Levenhuk 2x Barlow lens: http://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/telescope-accessories/telescope-barlow-lenses/levenhuk-2x-barlow-lens/

Good day! Tell me please which lens Is better for Levenhuk Skyline 130x900 EQ Telescope.
I'm a beginner, going to buy this telescope.
Customer service:
There's a 2x Barlow lens in the Levenhuk Skyline 130x900 EQ Telescope's kit. So there's no need to buy it separately. To get the highest practical power we recommend you to purchase Levenhuk Ra Plossl 4 mm Eyepiece: http://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/telescope-accessories/telescope-eyepieces/levenhuk-ra-plossl-4-mm-1-25-eyepiece/ it'll provide images of higher quality than BL+eyepiece combination.
Cheri Winland (2013.07.30)
does this set have an expiration date?
I guess some slides may "spoil" over the time so it would be impossible to observe them properly?
